So this site is still going under some cosmetic changes but for now the main framework of the rp is done. I would love for you all to join this forum, I can't necessarily advertise it anywhere because I usually use EQD, this forum is non-pony related so I am unsure of how it will gain followers but we'll see. Now you don't have to play to game to rp here, it's mainly used for the environment and the characters and styles of characters. You could also play as a character who had just moved there and asks around for an understanding of what everything is. I still however, reccomend watching gameplay of Borderlands 2 just to get a feel and style of rping we have. The game itself is full of action and humor actually. Here is a description of Pandora(the planet it takes place on) that I just copied from the wiki.

"(Pandora) is a barren, desolate world filled with dangerous creatures. Pandora's habitable regions appear to derive sunlight indirectly from the reflection of its moon Elpis. Pandora has a 90-hour day and takes ten Earth years to orbit its sun (one winter is seven earth years and a summer is three earth years). Pandora was first settled by humans during a winter season, when much of its wildlife was hibernating. After seven earth years, the warming climate in that region has resulted in most of the known native wildlife (excluding rakk hives and some other unknown or undiscovered species) waking from their hibernation, all of which are hostile to Pandora's new human settlers.
Geography
The areas of Pandora encountered in the story consist of snowy or volcanic-ash-strewn mountainous areas, large desert valleys and coastal stretches. The terrain is criss-crossed with canyons, ravines, rocky outcrops and plateaus. Large bodies of water are also present bordering several of the zones. Due to the repeated presence of raised construction it is likely that many of these areas are much wetter environments during different times of the Pandoran year.

Settlements
One can roughly divide human settlements on Pandora into three different groups.

The first are military encampments established during first or second Crimson Lance occupation. These are huge, well fortified structures and bunkers, made of steel and concrete. In-game examples include the Crimson Enclave (designed to control the heart of ECHOnet) and Fort Knoxx.

The non-hostile civilian establishments constitute the second group. Due to general lack of resources, the inhabitants laid their hands on the only material they had in abundance: scrap metal and garbage (however, occasionally there are more well-made structures made from wood or bricks, like Helena Pierce's office). Although not exactly solid or cozy, these buildings offer some proper conditions and facilities (like power, canalization, etc.), making them a good place to rest or make business. Without proper organization, many of these settlements were constructed virtually ad hoc, turning towns into densely populated mazes of blocks, stair flights, alleys, backyards, etc. When the fauna of Pandora turned hostile and the crime-levels soared, it became necessary for every town to hastily assemble rudimentary fortifications.

The third and the last group is loosely made of bandit camps of various kinds. These gangs reside in various places, occupying defunct industrial installations, inhabiting natural dwellings, or simply stacking up near the roads and towns, hoping for easy prey and loot. Their buildings are relatively simple: mostly huts and shacks, offering little more than primitive shelter, storage, and sometimes toilets. Only the most notorious leaders and the biggest groups manage to reach some kind of higher organization; some of these bases even achieved their own names, like Thor Digtown, Lockdown Palace, or Midgetville."


The environment is large and gives us a lot to work with. Don't worry im not abandoning this forum, I will always be here as well. This is just another forum that will be open on my tabs. We have canon characters available for claiming there!

A common question is what kind of technology and time does the forum use. Well we are in a bit of a mix. I'll try to clarify to the best of my ability.

The most common question would be military technology. We are going to say it ranges from 1990s to early 2000s for basic forms of military, but as you go up, he more close to modern times it gets. So SEALs and Equinox have access to modern day military weapons.

Vehicle wise - All forms of cars exist, but they are still uncommon. You will see places like Manehatten use them often but it's a big learning curve to learn how to drive one and ponies think it's more efficient to trot and gallop.

Air travel is restricted however Equestrians have invented most of the modern day planes and helicopters that you and I see today

Naval travel is limited to only within and around the continent. Battleships, carriers, frigates, fishing boats, all are a thing.

Do not go overboard with these. let's keep things a bit real and realize that deploying 100 aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, and AC-130's will cost a TON of bits. They are not disposable.

Now onto everyday stuff:

Cellphones and computers are only slightly common in Manehatten, as it is less advanced elsewhere. Refrigerators, Air conditioning, and Medical technology are all set in modern times. Computers and TV's are more advanced in urban areas but are a little behind elsewhere.

So when new characters are introduced in the show, they are also introduced here. Though the setting is obviously a tad different. Because of technology,unicorns have been less dedicated to studying intense magic so the amount of strong magic users has decreased (doesn't mean you can't make an OC that is strong though!)

We started this forum out with a different time and progressed. So in a few threads you will see the military using swords, crossbows, and henry rifles, well times have changed since then. Remember to, powerful magic can easily cause trouble for modern day technology. That's why alicorns are superior still.

Look I know this is all very confusing but the admins shouldn't have a problem unless someone complains to us or if we see something that is a pretty big deal. So have fun!

We recommend before making an account, that you take a look around the site and check out some threads. If you are ready to make/claim a character, take a look at some of the other biographies to maybe get some ideas.

This forum takes place during Season 6.

Not many rules about character creation. Make it whatever creature you want. Dragon, pony, changeling, griffins, goat, donkey, abominable snowman, anything! They can be a villain or a hero or even just your average joe. Just no humans please.

Please do not make a canon character without admin permission. This is to avoid duplicates. There will be a thread listing all of the taken canon characters. PM an admin if you are interested in claiming one. Hold off on Mane 6 characters and the princesses for now.

The biographies can be structured however you like it. Remember, you do not need to follow MLP canon completely! You can even have your own small head canons for your canon characters. Just don't go too far with it.

Canon character's aren't required to have a bio but if you want to write one, go right ahead!

Your avatar image (the one that appears on the left under your name) should you choose to use one, should be a picture of something related to your OC. This is to also avoid some confusions. For example, Cadance's avatar is a picture of Cadance. It could also be a picture of his/her cutie mark.

We want to encourage as much creativity as possible. Therefore, we will not be checking characters before they are allowed the post. Maybe some people aren't as strong when it comes to making a character bio. It's unfair to not allow them to participate because of that. HOWEVER, admins have the right to tell any user to change their OC if they feel they are too overpowered or do not fit the setting/timeline. This is a strong encouragement, that you do not make a robot character with sonic speed and armed nukes and lazer guns that represents every element in the Elemenet of Harmony and is impossible to beat

Pre-established relationships are for you all to decide between yourselves. Both parties need to be aware and be okay with them knowing each other. If a canon character is unclaimed, try to stay away from making a relationship with them unless it's confirmed in the show (for example Lyra and Bon Bon definitely know each other).

Not everything on this forum has to be canon to the show! Since new episodes are always coming out, if something isn't lore all of the sudden, no need to change anything. We are making our own timeline here using the template of the show. If Canterlot was set on fire in the show, it doesn't mean it is on fire on the forum. If something is bothering you, notify an admin.

Do not claim canon characters without admin permission. This is so we don't have duplicates being made.

Your character may only be in one thread at a time. He/she/it cannot be in Canterlot and the Crystal Empire at the same time. He/she/it also cannot be in two threads within the city or two at the same time.

Just have fun and keep it a friendly and creative environment. After all, this show is about the magic of friendship is it not?
