Witnessing the whole scene unfold, and abruptly ending with the dragon bolting off elsewhere. To be frank, Broadshield wasn't impressed at all at this dragons behavior. 'I don't care if he believes that he can do what he wants because he's a dragon. That's no excuse for causing destruction, and being a general a** to other ponies' he said, fueled by anger. 'I'm gonna talk to him, but first I need to talk to that mare' he said to himself before leaving the dissipating crowd. He then found the mare walking off in a different direction. 'Excuse me, excuse me miss, can I talk to you at the moment?' he called out to the mare as he pushed through the crowd, hoping to try and catch up to her.

(OORP: in fairness, he is pretty high up, the higher something like an arrow travels, the slower it gets due to gravity, so he has time to quickly think. If you want, I'll stop contemplating my actions in the middle of action)

After taking a quick breather, Broadshield flew up to the top of the walls to try and find where his opponent was. He saw that he threw his crossbow aside. 'Ok, thats good, at least he can't shoot me' he said to himself. Noticing that he had somehow resurfaced behind his opponent, he decided it woul be good to go on the offensive. Preparing his throwing knives and aiming them at his back and hind legs, he let the knives fly.

As Broadshield looked down, he saw that Solar had pointed his hoof at him, noticing he had a crossbow on him. He then saw that he launched what he assumed was an arrow towards him. 'I have two choices, go down or go forward. Going forward ensures that it will be harder for him to shoot me, but going down will make him miss.' He said as the projectile soared through the air towards him. 'I don't think he can hit me, but better safe than sorry' Making up his mind, he decided to do what he could do instinctively and go down. The ground was 10,000 ft away, giving him enough of a chance to pull up and simply glide and plan out his next move. 'Here goes nothing.' Aiming himself downwards, he shot down at an amazing speed, easily dodging the projectile. Once he was under the floating stadium, he spread out his wings and glided onto a smaller platform to plan out his next move, and waiting to see how his opponent would respond.

Broadshield readied himself, as well as his weapons, still sheathed. Analyzing the situation, as well as his opponent and his wings, it was probably good to get altitude, better safe than sorry.
"Ready?" It blinked red.
"Set?" It blinked yellow.
"GO!" And it went green.
The second the light went green, he galloped straight to the nearest crystal and launched off it, rocketing into the air. As soon as he stopped gaining altitude, he spread out his wings and started flapping to maintain altitude, as he looked down to see what his opponent would do.

(Sorry for late post, busy with stuff)

After his meal, Broadshield continued to trot through the increasingly busy streets of Canterlot, still trying to get over his creative bloc as he called it. After some time trotting through the streets, deep in thought, he found himself at a marketplace, looking around he saw a path of destruction, and some angry shopkeepers as well. Deciding to investigate, he followed the path of destruction. Soon enough, he found himself near a growing crowd. Slowly pushing his way through the crowd, he finally got to the front of the crowd. "Whats going on exactly?" he asked the pony next to him. "Something going on between the mare and that blue dragon, must be having some kind of argument." the pony replied
"What are they arguing about?" Broadshield asked
"Probably has something to do with the mess that dragon made." the pony responded, pointing to broken glass, doors thrown open, crates smashed, and other pieces of debris. Deciding it would be best to keep watching and see what would happen, he stayed with the crowd, carefully observing the situation.

One after the other, pony after pony after pony burst through the door, making some kind of entrance, which really didn't help Broadshield as Photo Finish made her entrance, nearly spitting out the last of his second muffin in surprise. 'I swear, if one more pony makes another loud entrance I'm gonna have a heart attack from shock...' he joked to himself, before completely finishing his muffins. Looking around, there probably 10 ponies in the bakery, including himself. He then took his rubbish, and dropped it into the bin, deciding it was probably good to move on. After saying his goodbyes to every pony, and giving a courteous salute to the Princess, he trotted out of the door, making sure to close it gently.

*Realises I have a red and black OC*
:(
In all seriousness, I have had some experience with RPing, most of the time I don't even bother mentioning about OP OC's. What we are trying to make is a fun RPing community and having a filter could go against what we are trying to do. I suggest that we just post in the character thread stuff like no Mary Sue's, no OP characters stuff like that. That way people won't feel as though they are rejected after posting a bio, all we can do is hope that people use common sense and actually listen so then we won't have any issues.

To be fair, I'm half a sleep so take my 2 bits with a grain of salt if you wish

Noticing the door opening, Broadshield swiveled his head towards the door, noticing the brown mare at the door. She looked frazzled and tired. On top of that, the poor mare was sneezing, which probably was from allergies. She then trots up to the counter, she then sneezes and pulls out a tissue to cover her nose. "Hello? Anyone back there? Looking to buy something up here." she asked. "Yeah, the stallion in charge just went to the back to do something, shouldn't be too long" Broadshield responded.

Yeah, sorry about that. I just thought that since comment sections get a lot of traffic it would be a good place to post. Never mind, forget I mentioned it

I can support this, but a few things.
You're gonna need a few more people active if you really want to get anywhere.
Could you give me an example of describing your character?
There will always be those few that even though the follow the rules, they will absolutely refuse to accept it, and probably do something irrational like leave, talk poorly about the website and such, all because they didn't win in a simple RP duel. You could overcome this by having judges/adjudicators/mods etc. moderate the fight and settle any disputes during the duel and decide the ultimate winner.
Aside from those things I can support this.

That's pretty good, having them forcibly change when under stress, I support this :)

Those are pretty fair points, but I gotta ask, who are the other two that you are playing? I know Octavia, but who else? Just so we're all on the same page.

EDIT: Could we also mention about the RP site in the comment section? Not just post it on EQD?

The thing with shifters is that they are similar to changelings, taking up different forms and such, and the only way to find out their identity is to look at their eyes and magic. I feel that for someone who wouldn't know wht a shifter is and how to find one, I feel shifters are a bit of a Mary Sue/OP, etc. I would suggest that it would be a bit easier to make them more detectable. For example, with changelings, they would always have green eyes and magic, even if the one that they are imitating didn't have that, which can raise suspicion, making them less OP.

tl;dr Try and find other ways to make them less OP, but it's a great idea
